Turks and Caicos Red Cross Fundraising Efforts
Monday, April 27th, 2009This year marks the first Turks & Caicos Red Cross Appeal Week which is being held between Friday 1st May until Friday 8th May 2009, across the Turks & Caicos Islands.
The purpose of the week is for the community to unite and combine fundraising efforts. It will also act as a platform to raise awareness of the Red Cross throughout the community, schools, businesses, the local media and to other key influencers.
The Red Cross have been active in the community for many years and have been especially working hard on the recovery program from Hurricane Ike.
This year the Red Cross will be holding a special party to further their fundraising and awareness. This party will be held on the beach at the Hotel Gansevoort, a Wymara Resort, on Friday May 8th. The party theme is RED and White and will begin at 7pm. There will be cocktails, appetizers and entertainment. The cost of each ticket is $60.00 and all proceeds go towards TCI red cross.
